Sparky! Stars a pet who has more to offer than meets the eye and is a perfect book for young animal lovers. I literally read it in the store today and ordered it right away for the little dude. We always hear about kids who beg their parents for a pet but the parents say no for various reasons like the feeding, the cleaning, the walking... so wait till you see what pet the narrator picks!

It took us one read at the bookstore to purchase this book for our library. The illustrations by Christian Robinson are adorable and his color choices are impeccable. The story Gaston, written by Kelly DiPucchio, is one about two dog mama's taking home the wrong pups and raising them as their own.

When you come across a book that is super kid-friendly with it's adorable illustrations, teaches history and life values what would you do? You would get it, and read it to your child (children). And that is what I did.

Delightful Books: The Day The Crayons Quit

It's actually very simple, we LOVE this book! I'm pretty sure we read it 10 times within the first two days, and all upon the little guy's request, not mine. "The Day the Crayons Quit" by Drew Daywalt is a fun story about a little boy's crayons writing him letters and giving him a piece of their mind. How do your little one's crayons feel? Over-used? Under-used? Treated unfairly? Happy and content? I'm pretty sure our little guy stopped peeling off his crayon wrappings thanks to this book!

I discovered Dinosaur vs. Bedtime when we went to Barnes & Noble and I was trying to find Seiya a new book. The dinosaur on the cover caught my attention, so I flipped through it only to discover that the author (Bob Shea) was writing from his son's point of view, and that was all I needed to buy the book.

I will be recommending our favorite books from time to time, and this one today is one of our all time favorites. I found and fell in love with this book by chance. The hubby and I were in a city we'd never been to before (I can't remember which) and came across a cute bookstore. We have a thing for bookstores, so we had to take a look. My favorite section in a bookstore has always been the children's section (even prior to baby). As I glanced around the table, this book's cover had my full attention! I adore the illustrations of this book, I can look at it everyday.
