how sweet is this shirt made especially for the birthday boy or birthday girl by Paper Fingers? 

The little guy turned 3 this past Saturday! I still can't believe we have a three year old. Someone just asked how old he is yesterday and I had to take a moment to think about it before answering "oh yeah, he just turned 3!". This year has been different because he understood that his birthday was coming and that mama and dada planned a party for him. He was anxious to play with all of his friends and to blow out his own candles.

We got to go to two birthday parties this past weekend. I'm surrounded by wonderfully talented friends who plan the best parties for their children, we had a blast! I helped a good friend come up with her 2 year old's party layout, and she implemented the idea so well it exceeded my expectations! Instead of having the usual focal table against a wall, we wanted to do something a little different. The idea was to create a road-map in a town full of stores and to make food/dishes that pertained to each store or landmark.

It's January, and that means that lots and lots of birthdays are coming up this year! It seems like all of my mommy friends are already planning out their little one's birthday parties, even if the birthday is six months away! Some will be celebrating first birthdays and others have kids who finally understand the concept of birthdays. Either way, everyone is excited! Our little guy turned two yesterday, and I've been busy planning his 2nd birthday party which will take place tomorrow.
