Confetti Stickers

With my current love for all-things-dotty, these colorful confetti wall stickers definitely caught my attention. They would look fun in a kid's room or nursery (especially above the crib). The fun thing about them is that you can place them however you please - scattered or uniform in all 15 colors.

Enjoy your weekend! We're excited because S's dada is returning from his business trip tomorrow!

Third Birthday Invitation

This year's invitation was a simple black and white invite that I ended up just printing and cutting at Kinkos. The illustrated image of our little guy was the inspiration for the whole birthday party.

Third Birthday Party!

The little guy turned 3 this past Saturday! I still can't believe we have a three year old. Someone just asked how old he is yesterday and I had to take a moment to think about it before answering "oh yeah, he just turned 3!". This year has been different because he understood that his birthday was coming and that mama and dada planned a party for him. He was anxious to play with all of his friends and to blow out his own candles.

Blanket The World With Love

Our friends at Ellie Fun Day have their 1st annual "blanket the world with love" day today (January 18th). The idea is simple, but the gesture and effect are anything but. We all know the idea of "pay it forward", but we often need to be reminded to spread the love and do something nice or selfless for others. Not just the people we care about, but complete strangers.

Floating On Clouds

It's been extra cold this winter in California. We are so ready for warmer weather especially with the flu going around, it seems like everyone is sick on FaceBook! So we're trying to stay at home as much as possible (without losing our minds) to avoid all the "germies" flying around who-knows-where. We've been keeping ourselves busy with birthday projects this week. That's right, little S is not so little anymore, he's going to be THREE this coming Saturday, and we have a party to plan! I'm excited it's supposed to be 66 degrees this weekend.

Tegu Blocks

One of the things that provided us with lots of airplane entertainment on our trip this past winter are the Tegu blocks! I'd seen them a while ago and thought they were the coolest invention. Wooden blocks with embedded magnetic strips that allows you to create all types of vehicles, buildings and animals?! Wooden blocks that your child can't lose because they don't fall apart or fall all over the place? Um, yes please! I made sure to keep all the little toys I secretly purchased for the little guy hidden from him in his little back pack.

A Weekend In San Francisco

We spent last weekend in San Francisco. It was the first time we took both babies (puppy and the little dude) to the city, but staying at the Westin St. Francis definitely made things easier. We didn't pick the best weekend to go because it rained almost all weekend, but we still had a great time. The weekend started with one of my favorite places - the farmers market at the ferry building. We enjoyed delicious food (even Lilo had a lot of chicken).

A Kid Journal

A wonderful family keepsake, this journal allows you and your child to document and share the evolution of their thoughts, dreams and feelings. I personally worry about forgetting all the funny and wonderful things our little guy says especially since he became two and a half. It never fails to amaze me how the little brain works.

Our 2012 Holiday Card

Because of traveling and sickness, our holiday cards were mailed out super late this year (some actually went out today!). I still think better late than never! I know that technology keeps us in touch these days, and that friends we don't talk to on a regular basis can just check Facebook for updates and pictures. But I still insist that snail mail is a more intimate way to stay in touch and for the friends and family who don't get to see us often, a holiday card can somewhat capture how we're doing and let them know that we're thinking about them.
