I am in love with the details of this ice cream party by Sarah (of Style Me Gorgeous) for her 2 year old son Max. And I can't wait to throw an ice cream party now. This would be a great baby shower theme too, so since the little guy's birthday is in the winter, I may have to throw one of these for one my pregnant friends!

We're Making A List: Breastfeeding Essentials

I promised to continue the pre-baby preparation list with what you'll need if you decide to breastfeed. Breastfeeding was a wonderful experience and I loved every second of it. Even though the beginning was really hard and towards the end I worried about weaning, I wouldn't have had it any other way. The benefits of breast feeding include strengething baby's immune system, the convenience of feeding anytime/anywhere and the bonding experience between mother and child.

ChitterChatter: Do You Want A Baby In The Year Of The Dragon?

In the last few weeks, my friends have either just had babies or just told me they were expecting later in the year. It's overwhelming (in the happiest of ways) just how many of my good friends are having babies this year, the year of the dragon. Is it coincidence or Was it planned? It's some of both. They all want babies anyway, and given it's the year of the dragon, a year that traditionally represents luck and prosperity, it's two eggs with one stone! I feel like I must be a little lucky because I'm going to be surrounded by dragon babies in just a matter of months.

Styled by Lara Hutton, this simple yet sophisticated nursery contains adorable wooden details throughout the room. I especially love the wooden artwork on the walls and the wooden cloud bookcases. Here are the details:

-‘Fawn’ figure, from Shelf/Life.

- ‘Babushka’ canvas, from Little Envelope.

I wish I knew about these fun designy temporary tattoos by Tattly before Easter because these bunny tattoos are so cute! Our little guy would've loved them, so I'm definitely getting some for next year. I love that they turned some popular designer prints into mini sized tattoos (especially Blanca Gomez's artwork!). Right now S is at the age where a sticker, a rubber stamp or a temporary tattoo makes him over-the-top happy!

How sweet this baby "shower" is! Great job by Lisa at Fiskars for putting together this gender neutral shower theme. I love the paper pom clouds and the straw cloud tags (especially with the fun straw colors). See the rest of the shower details here.

ChitterChatter: When is it "ok" for children to eat chocolate?

I personally don't remember when I started eating chocolate when I was little. My parents weren't big on sweet things, so we probably didn't have any lying around the house to begin with. But even though my parents never specifically told us "no you're not allowed to eat sweets", I, for some reason, don't want to expose candy and other sweet treats to our little guy too early on. We all know that it's not healthy and it's probably very bad for their little teeth (he doesn't even brush with toothpaste yet!).

Thursday Easter Crafts

The little guy's good buddy came over today and the mama's decided to do some Easter crafts with them to change things up a bit. After looking around on the web, we decided to do the fingerprint pictures because it seemed age-appropriate and easy to do. Ofcourse in the middle of it all, they wanted nothing more than to grab the ink pads and go crazy on their own, but we managed to keep everything under control. Here are the results (what started out as a "Easter" project turned into a whatever-animal-you-can-think-of project hehe Whatever works right?):

Wee Mouse Tin House

Make your own little mouse that fits in an Altoid tin and take him with you wherever you go! This pattern by mmmcrafts teaches you to create this little pet mouse using scraps of fabric. Isn't it so very cute? I love the little pillow and blanket. It's times like these that make me wish I was better at sewing hehe
