Personalized Pencil Case

When my sister and I were little, we loved collecting pencil cases and pencils. The only reason we were ok when our mom traveled on her own was because she'd bring back the cutest pencil cases and stationery, so we always had something to look forward to. I remember my classmates would always be so jealous of my gear thanks to all the stuff my mom brought back from Asia. These personalized pencil cases are so fun! I especially love the zipper embellishments.

These animal heads by Flat Our Frankie are simply adorable. Cardboard toys are getting more and more creative these days, but not only are their cardboard cars, planes, kitchens awesome, these new unicorn and dino heads are to die for. Our little guy loves to pretend he's a knight these days and he enjoys fighting dragons every day. I'm pretty sure if I give him a horse he can ride on, he'll go nuts.

We had a fun Easter this year. Two egg hunts, egg-painting and drawing, Easter brunch and great company. The little guy had a blast to say the least! Hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend!

Our Pick: Legging Pants

I am not one to wear skinny jeans. I tried. The thick jean fabric literally plasters itself to your whole leg and behind. I can't stand it. I think it looks awesome on those who can wear it. They're fashionable and go with everything. But I am all about comfort, and I think that comfort and fashion can come together harmoniously. So taking it back to this past Tuesday, when my hubby came back from his business trip in Japan and brought back a pair of legging pants that are really popular in Japan (per my sister-in-law).

Stack 'Em High

As soon as little ones have better hand-eye coordination, one of their favorite things to do is to stack things and then knock them down. There are some adorable stacking blocks available, it's hard to pick just one. Here are some of our favorites:

I am loving this Easter egg tutorial on mom.me! Sharpie eggs are smart, less messy and so adorable with the pastel shades. One of those why-didn't-I-think-of-that moments! And I have decided that this is how we are *definitely* going to be decorating our eggs this year! Thank you mom.me for the wonderful idea!

We're a family that LOVES taking pictures, but I'm not always so good at sharing pictures. That is.. until Instagram. I love the app and use it at least once a day, every day. It's been the best medium to help us collect our family memories in one place. It might be something about the squares, I just love everything about it.

Under The Weather...

It's been a rough week with a sick baby and no daddy in the house. The little guy has never had a cough like this time around and it broke my heart to hear the heavy coughing in the middle of the night coming from his room. There's really nothing much we can do when it comes to coughing, I tried everything. Honey & lemon drinks, humidifier, herbal chest rub. The relief was always very temporary and it affected his appetite and sleep. He just seemed so helpless.

Unique Family Portraits

In addition to tons of family pictures, I would really like to have an illustrated family portrait done for our family. I think it's such a fun way to tell our story and it's a cross between photography and art.

These personalized home state return address stamps will brighten up any envelope. I've always thought rubber stamps are the most efficient method for addressing envelopes (return address that is), so kudos to Paper Pastries for this brilliant idea of presenting the address in a shape of a map! It's whimsical yet elegant.
